Home Prep Checklist
How your home shows is how buyers see themselves in it. They have a hard time seeing past dirt, clutter, leaks and stains. Luckily, you can dramatically improve how your home shows with just a few easy steps.
Need some advice on how to further prepare your home to show at it's finest? We're happy to do a pre-listing consultation to advise you on what buyers in your area are looking for and how to give them that WOW factor they are looking for!
Don’t worry. It’s not as overwhelming as it might sound. And if you need an extra hand, we can connect you with housecleaners, handymen, and more! We have a robust list of local tradesmen and service providers to choose from.
CLEAN - Clean inside and out. It matters a lot!
DE-CLUTTER - Give it away, throw it away or store it away but get it out of the way!
REPAIR - Replace lightbulbs, touch up paint, replace or repair smoke detectors and fix leaky faucets. Repair anything you can.
DE-PERSONALIZE - Store away family photos, personalized decor, toys and pet items.
REMOVE PETS - If possible, remove pets from the home for showings.
TAKE OUT THE TRASH - Take out the trash before showings. You won't want buyers smelling that!
LET THE LIGHT IN - Open blinds and ensure windows are clean.
